Attentions to all Senior families: Senior letters containing updated graduation credit checks are going out in the mail this week with information regarding your students current progress towards meeting graduation requirements. Please read the letter, credit check and information about financial aid thoroughly.
Freshman Registration Material
Freshmen Parents: Over the next two weeks, Mrs. McDaniel will be visiting your students Social Studies classroom to hand out registration material. Please review the material carefully. Your student will have one week to decide on their electives, get teachers recommendations and turn the registration sheet in. You can use the online curriculum guide to assist you. The guide can be found on the school web site. Your student will get a proof sheet later in the year with a last opportunity to change their mind. Although Mrs. McDaniel will be happy to answer questions, she will not be available for individual conferences about registration.

P2ACC (Preparing Parents to Advocate for their Children and Community) Parent Academy.
Pinellas County Schools (PCS) via the Office of Strategic Partnerships is excited about the launching of P2ACC (Preparing Parents to Advocate for their Children and Community) Parent Academy.
The purpose is to promote parental engagement and enhance student academic success by focusing on the 5 key components:
1) Parent Education/Tools/Tips
2) Parents, Staff, School and Community Relations
4) Parent, Family and Community Resources
5) Policy, Laws and Practice
As part of the academy, spring workshops for parents will be offered in schools, libraries, community centers, government offices, and faith-based organizations throughout the district.

The 2013 PTSA Nominating Committee
The 2013 PTSA nominating committee has been formed. The purpose of the committee is to put in place the PTSA Board for the 2013-2014 school year. PTSA Board elections will take place next month, April, at the PTSA meeting.
We are looking for several new board and committee members to help support the OHS PTSA. Please consider becoming involved!

College Fair Committee
National Honor Society students will be available Tuesdays and Thursday in the guidance lobby to tutor. They are to be there at 2 and stay until 2:20 to wait for students and stay until 2:30 if students show up.

The Spanish National Honor Society is also tutoring. The tutoring sessions are on Wednesdays, at 12:15pm - 12:45pm in the Guidance lobby area.
Our cafeteria no longer uses mealpay. This school year we switched to www.schoolpaymentsolutions.com. Please use this link to ensure your child's lunch account gets set up correctly.
Please note that the parent drop-off/pick-up areas are in the student parking lot, or the former bus circle, the entrance to which is off the side street between the High School and Middle School.
Please try to have your children at school early so they are able to make it to class on time.
Procedures for Early Pickup
Please give as much advanced notice as possible, preferably at least one hour before so that we can have your child ready when you arrive. Parents need to present a picture form of identification at the time of pick-up. The student must be checked out through the office.
