P2ACC (Preparing Parents to Advocate for their Children and Community) Parent Academy.

Pinellas County Schools (PCS) via the Office of Strategic Partnerships is excited about the launching of P2ACC (Preparing Parents to Advocate for their Children and Community) Parent Academy.

The purpose is to promote parental engagement and enhance student academic success by focusing on the 5 key components:

5)      Policy, Laws and Practice

As part of the academy, spring workshops for parents will be offered in schools, libraries, community centers, government offices, and faith-based organizations throughout the district.

Cafeteria Information

Our cafeteria no longer uses mealpay. This school year we switched to www.myschoolbucks.com. Please use this link to ensure your child's lunch account gets set up correctly.

Parent Drop-off/Pick-up

Please note that the parent drop-off/pick-up areas are in the student parking lot, or the former bus circle, the entrance to which is off the side street between the High School and Middle School.

Please try to have your children at school early so they are able to make it to class on time.

Procedures for Early Pickup

Please give as much advanced notice as possible, preferably at least one hour before so that we can have your child ready when you arrive. Parents need to present a picture form of identification at the time of pick-up. The student must be checked out through the office.

The Oracle

On Friday forty-one staff members of the Oracle literary magazine and the Warrior Record newspaper attended the Florida Scholastic Press Association District Four Conference.

At the conference they attended workshops with professional writers, reporters, photographers, and designers. Four students brought home awards:

Laura Douglass won third place for the cover of last year’s Oracle;

Hailey Perdue and Luke Fender (’12) won third place for their Every Person Has a Story interview article; and Kaylie Murphy won first place for her on-the-spot photograph. Kaylie’s photo is online at http://www.osceolahsnews.com/

Be sure to congratulate these young journalists.
