Osceola's Programming Team at Florida High School Programming Series Final Competition

Osceola's programming team of Matt Cortez, Dominic Iovino, and Sam Rankin competed on Saturday in the Florida High School Programming Series final competition at Timber Creek High school.

They placed seventh in a field of twenty teams. They competed against teams that have programming as part of their curriculum at school, and came one correct answer away from finishing in the top three.

The team will compete again in May at the UCF programming competition.

Osceola's Wrestling Team Placed Second in the Anclote Challenge Dual Tournament

Our wrestling team went to the Anclote Challenge Dual Tournament this past Saturday and finished in 2nd place to Dixie Hollins.  It is the first team trophy that we have earned since a District runner-up in 2012.  Please give a congratulations to all of our wrestlers for a great day of wrestling.  Both Kevin Underwood and Zack Hehn went undefeated for the day, with Kevin beating a very highly ranked wrestler in the state of Florida.

Art Basel Miami Beach

Forty-eight  Osceola students from the Literature and the Arts, AP Art History classes, and other classes attended Art Basel Miami Beach, the premier contemporary art show in North America, on December 6.  The show featured thousands of works from over 4,000 of the most important and creative artists working today, exhibited by more than 200 galleries from countries in North America, Latin America, Europe and Asia.
